Year 6 Residential Trip to PGL Osmington Bay
Just before half term, many of us left for our residential at PGL in Weymouth. We had been looking forward to this since we joined the Junior School. Before we left we didn't know our dorms or our activities, so we were all very excited!
Once we arrived we had lunch and went for our first activity. This was either climbing or fencing.
We all had a great time and had lots to talk about over dinner. The food was incredible and everyone left feeling very full.
Once we knew our dorms, we unpacked and settled in, ready for another day of activity and challenge.
Over the three days we faced our fears, often climbing higher than we thought we could, working as a team and having lots of fun.
We were sad to leave, but happy to be reunited with our families.
Trip to the River Meon
As part of our Geography study we visited the River Meon in Droxford.
Here we learnt about how unique the Meon is, due to being a chalk river.
As a year group, we found and identified river features, tested the flow and explored some of the more unique features, such as the eel house. As well as all of this, we dipped for river creatures, the presence of which indicates how healthy the river is.
It was a great morning and we all learnt something new.
