Fundraising and WFA

Through our shared British values our children learn the importance, moral and personal satisfaction of taking part in voluntary and fundraising activities.

Throughout each year our pupils engage in a range of fundraising activities.

Thank you for your support.

Through pupil lead discussion, our School Council agrees the charities that families will be asked to donate to (eg Local Food Bank, Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal);  our staff run both learning and fun activities to raise money for the school (eg Money Matters); and WFA, our Parents’ Group (Wallisdean Friends Association) raises money for many extra curricula activities (eg Christmas Magic Show, discos, special ‘shopping days’ etc).

In classes, topics and assemblies our children talk about the reasons for and ethics of fundraising and of helping others:

In 2025-26, across the federation, we took part in the NSPCC's Number Day.  As well as doing some fun Maths activities (including a fanstastic Maths Magician show), children wore clothes or a badge with a number or repeating pattern and donated money towards this annual national fundraiser.

We raised £221.35 for the NSPCC.

Wallisdean Friends Association (WFA)

The Wallisdean Friends Association (WFA) is our schools’ Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). The committee is made up of dedicated volunteer staff and parents who work together to raise funds throughout the year. Meetings are held every half term and new members are always welcome!

If you're interested in joining, please contact us via the school’s admin office email (adminoffice@wallisdeanfederation.co.uk).

Thank you all for your generous support of WFA fundraising, last year and this - Here are some of the highlights (we'll update as we progress through the school year):

All funds raised by WFA are donated to the Federation and go towards enhancing the school experience for all children. This includes contributions to playground equipment, PE t-shirts for all Year 3 pupils, leaving gifts for Year 2 and Year 6, Year 2 Leavers’ Disco and a special Year 6 Leavers’ Festival.

We couldn’t do any of this without the incredible support of our Federation and the amazing families in our school community. Thank you!

We celebrate Harvest Festival at  St John’s Church  - with donations of tinned and dried foods going to our local Fareham & Gosport Basics Bank

Every year our Year R, Year 1 and Year 2 children enjoy their experience as young entrepreneurs! For Money Matters Week each year group investigates and agrees upon a product to design and promote. They pitch their money making ideas to the Executive Head Teacher and explain how much each item will cost to make, what their selling price will be, how much profit they hope to make and how much money they need to borrow for their venture. Once all the discussions are agreed and the products designed, families are invited to place their orders.

All Money Matters profits are used to buy new resources (chosen by the children) for Golden Time.

In 2025/26 the total profit made across the three year groups was £237.60.

We celebrate Harvest Festival through lessons and a Whole School Assembly  - all donations of tinned and dried foods are delivered to our local Fareham & Gosport Basics Bank.

In the run up to Christmas each year, across the Junior School the children are able to take part in Enterprise Week - designing and making special, seasonal products which are then offered for sale to our families.

All Enterprise Week profits are used to buy new resources (chosen by the children) for Golden Time.

In 2025/26 the total profit made across the four year groups was £455.83.
