We offer our children a happy, caring, secure environment where we foster high standards of social behaviour and mutual respect. We achieve this through providing an exciting curriculum and an atmosphere in which children and staff have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning for life.
Wallisdean Infant School is a Hampshire County Council LA Maintained school, catering for boys and girls from 4 to 7 years old.
We are a two form entry school. Each of our spacious classrooms is equipped with an interactive SMART board, iPads, reading corner and an art area.
Each class is timetabled to use our dedicated IT suite each week and pupils may also choose to use the extensive range of software packages as an activity during their weekly Golden Time session.
In addition to our breakfast and after school wraparound provisions, our school offers After School Activities. These change each half termly and may include staff led clubs such as Art/Craft and Forest School; or Multi-skills, Athletics or Football (through our PE Coaches, CM Sports).
Absence Reporting
If your child is ill, please let the school know as soon as possible on the first day of absence.

A telephone call 01329 280827 to leave a message or phone after 8.30am to speak to a member of the Office Team.
Send us a message via your MCAS app
Email adminoffice@wallisdean-inf.hants.sch.uk
We will message, and then phone you, if your child is not in school by close of register and we have not had a reason for their absence.
There are 13 weeks of school holidays each year and the Government believes that family holidays should be taken in that time. Amendments to the 2006 Education regulations make it clear that head teachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Leave of Absence is granted only in exceptional circumstances and must be sought in writing.
Leave taken without the Executive Head Teacher's permission is recorded as “unauthorised” on the pupil records and will affect a child’s attendance record. This could also result in a fixed penalty notice being issued to parents.
Should you wish to request leave of absence during the school term, please fill in a Request for Exceptional Absence Form and return it to the school office for consideration.

Change to normal end of day routine?
If your child is going home with someone else, please let us know. If there is a change through the day that you child is not aware of, please call the office before 2.30pm. It is not always possible to get a message to the classes after this time unless it is an emergency.
Changes at Home?
If there are any changes in home circumstances which might affect your child at school, please let us know so that we can keep a careful eye on them. Of course, we will treat any such information sensitively.
